Preston Manor, Brighton
In 2008 I was asked to place my work around the rooms and corridors of Preston Manor a haunting Edwardian house on the edge of Brighton.
A cuckoo-in-the-nest idea of displaying contemporary artifacts amongst the collections in the house. The Chinese Buddhist Lions in their huge cabinet in the dining room, in a room of Spanish leather and on exquisite tables of inlaid marquetry.The remains of the past in Preston Manor recieved the new inhabitants, the waiting caste of figures contiguous with the present.
